SENIOR BIOINFORMATICIAN

Applications are invited for a Senior Bioinformatician to join an expanding programme of research focused on translational systems immunology and multi-modal analysis to understand the immune response to infection and cancer, at the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Oxford Institute (CAMS-COI), Nuffield Department of Medicine.

You will be responsible for undertaking and leading analysis of data arising from research programmes at CAMS-COI using systems immunology and multi-omic approaches including next generation sequencing, high throughput proteomics, spatial and single cell analysis. You will apply computational and statistical methodologies and algorithms, devising novel approaches to analysis, and developing informatics structures to manage large datasets.

You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team within the CAMS-COI including close liaison with members of the Dong and Knight Group, and wider bioinformatics leadership and support for emerging research areas in the Institute; and you will communicate via meetings, reports and discussion with the aims and objectives of the research. You will supervise junior members of the team and support education and training of staff and students as necessary and appropriate.
