Professor Cheng, the director of CAMS Hematology Institute, visited Oxford 19th-20th April 2018.

He was invited as a Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) member of MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine (WIMM), University of Oxford, to participate the Annual WIMM Science Day. 

During Prof. Cheng’s visit, he talked with a number of PIs at the WIMM including Prof. Doug Higgs, Prof. Tao Dong, Prof. Paresh Vyas, and Dr. Adam Mead with the aim to develop the collaboration between Oxford and IH in the area of hematology leukemia and MDS. (COI Theme 5). 

To further enhance the interactions between the faculty members from both sides, Prof. Cheng and Prof. Vyas are currently discussing the possibility of a joint symposium to be held at Tianjin in the fall of 2018.
