The visit was an opportunity for Professor Tracey to reaffirm the University of Oxford’s strong commitment to further develop its partnership with CAMS/PUMC. She praised the CAMS Oxford Institute’s (COI) achievements and highlighted opportunities to enhance joint research, medical education collaboration and next-generation talent training through COI’s strategic initiatives.

CAMS attendees: President Professor Xunming Ji; Board Chairman Mr Haihua Deng; Academician Professor Xuetao Cao, former Vice Minister of National Health Commission; Vice Presidents Qing Li, Tao Yang and Hui Pan; and directors from scientific research, general administration and international affairs departments.
The visit further reinforced the strong and evolving partnership between the University of Oxford and CAMS/PUMC. Through the continued development of the COI, established in 2017 as a flagship platform for China–UK biomedical collaboration, both sides aim to accelerate scientific discovery, extend educational collaboration and contribute to addressing global health challenges.
