The University of Oxford and The Affiliated Tumor Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University (XTH) have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) , this is an extension to the previous MoU, and will support the future research collaborations between the two institutes etc etc.

On 26 May 2025, an Oxford delegation from the CAMS Oxford Institute (COI), The Nuffield Department of Medicine (NDM) , The University of Oxford, led by Professor Tao Dong, visited XTH as part of ongoing academic engagement between the two institutions. During the visit, the team met with Professor Zhao Lei, President of XTH, and Professor Zhao Bing, Vice President of XTH. The two sides held in-depth discussions on how best to implement the MOU and the exploration of new areas for collaboration.

The Oxford delegation also visited the Immuno-Radiology Laboratory, where Karen Valentine, Business Manager of the CAMS Oxford Institute, gave a focused presentation on the administrative management of research units. She outlined key operational practices, shared practical insights, and highlighted how effective administration supports the success of scientific programmes.
