The CSC-CAMS/PUMC Oxford Student Interviews were held in Beijing in March 2018, representatives from the University of Oxford, the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS) and the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) were present, including the Director of CSC, Jianxue Sheng.

Before the interviews, a round table discussion of the programme was held, which the Director of CSC also attended.

The main purpose of this programme is to train the next generation of leaders in the medical sciences field.  By combining the strength of our partners, it is aimed at students with a clinical background with an interest in pursuing research in a scientific field related to medicine. The participants will be receiving innovative and interdisciplinary education spanning scientific research as well as clinical training in Oxford, through a novel and personalized approach.

Eight students were offered DPhil placements which will be funded jointly by CSC, CAMS and Oxford.
