On 28 November 2025, at the invitation of the Institute of Medical Information and Library (IMI, CAMS/PUMC), Professor Marian Knight and Professor Julian Knight, Principal Investigators at the CAMS–Oxford Institute (COI), visited the Institute and took part in the CAMS/PUMC Master Forum.

During the visit, Professor Marian Knight delivered a lecture entitled ‘Policy research to drive change in maternal and child health’. Drawing on nearly twenty years of work undertaken by herself and her team, she illustrated how policy-focused research can support improvements in maternal and early-life health, with particular reference to rare and severe complications during pregnancy and the earliest stages of life.

Following the lecture, colleagues at IMI held detailed discussions with Professor Marian Knight and Professor Julian Knight on a number of themes, including potential areas for collaborative research, opportunities for student training, and prospects for further international exchange.
