The CAMS Oxford Institute is the first time in more than 800 years that Oxford has established a research unit for external institutions on its campus. The establishment of COI is an exploration to integrate Chinese and British medical research into the world's “frontier highlands”. CAMS and Oxford have established a close partnership through high-level collaboration and communication mechanism between China and the UK. Such a partnership has shed light on future cooperation between the two institutions. COI focuses on the research frontiers of medical science and technology innovation, working together to solve major medical and health problems facing China and the UK and the world, and writing a new chapter for building a community of human destiny. CAMS Oxford Institute CSC-CAMS/PBMC Oxford High Level Innovative Talent Scholarship is a MD/D.Phil scholarship program by Chinese Scholarship Council, Chinese Academy of Medical Science/ Peking Union Medical school and University of Oxford. The purpose of this program is to train next generation clinical scientists.
