Yuxin Zeng

DPhil Student

Yuxin is a second-year DPhil student in Professor Fadi Issa’s group at the University of Oxford. She is co-supervised by Professor Joanna Hester and George Adigbli. Her research focuses on tumour immunology and spatial biology, with the use of spatial multi-omics approaches to study tumour-infiltrating lymphocytes in primary tumours and lymph nodes. Through this work, she explores how spatial immune organisation and immune suppressive niches relate to tumour progression and long-term clinical outcomes.

Prior to her DPhil, Yuxin obtained her bachelor’s degree from Wuhan University. Her training focused on tumour radiotherapy and translational cancer research. During this period, she developed a strong interest in the tumour microenvironment and cancer–immune interactions. This background informs her current work in spatial tumour immunology.
