Macrophage communication alterations under immune ageing

RESEARCH BACKGROUND AND INTERESTS

Before coming to CAMS Oxford Institute, Yaolong studied integrated clinical medicine at Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University in China.

In 2023, He joined PI Matthew Bottomley's research group and studied at the University of Oxford as a joint DPhil student. Here, his research focuses on applying spatial profiling and functional immunological approaches to profile changes in macrophage communication in cutaneous malignancy under the setting of immune ageing and pharmacological immunosuppression. He is devoted to discovering novel pathways suitable for therapeutic manipulation in both immunosuppressed and immunocompetent cohorts.
