Yang Yang

DPhil Student

Yang began her DPhil in Clinical Medicine in October 2025 under the supervision of Professor Simon Leedham at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics. Her research focuses on epithelial-mesenchymal interdependence in intestinal regeneration and neoplasia, aiming to identify novel therapeutic targets for inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer.

She completed her undergraduate medical training in 2024 at Central South University, graduating from the eight-year Clinical Medicine program. During this time, she developed a strong academic and research interest in gastrointestinal diseases.
