Dannielle Wellington

PhD; MRes; BSc

Knowledge Exchange Programme Manager

I work with our researchers to identify training needs and support the delivery of specific training for both skills and personal development. As part of this, I organise an annual Researcher Symposium event which gives researchers the chance to network with all COI-affiliated staff as well as present data. I am also responsible for coordinating our annual international training programmes in collaboration with Peking Union Medical College (PUMC). Finally, I coordinate public engagement activity within COI.

Prior to this role, I was a postdoctoral scientist for 6 years with Prof. Tao Dong based at the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine (WIMM) investigating immune responses to viral infection. I completed my MRes-PhD in biomedical sciences at the University of Southampton in 2016 and my undergraduate degree in Cancer Biology & Immunology at the University of Bristol in 2012.

If you would like training in a particular skill, have an interest in organising a public engagement activity or are interested in teaching opportunities, please contact me.
