PhD; MSc; BSc

Postdoctoral Scientist

With over five years of experience as a postdoctoral scientist, in April 2022 I joined the CAMS Oxford Institute at the University of Oxford.

Throughout my M.Sc. program, I dedicated the majority of my time to fundamental research, leading to valuable insights into the field of immunology. This experience ignited my passion for science and motivated me to pursue a career in the field. Consequently, I embarked on a Ph.D. journey in Immunology, focusing on exploring the immunomodulatory impact of mesenchymal stem cells in inflammatory contexts.

My current  research focuses on the understanding of immune ageing combined with the use of immunosuppression after kidney transplantation and its effect on cutaneous immunity.  I investigate  alterations  within skin-resident T cell subpopulations among patients with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) which will provide deeper insight to changes in cutaneous T cells in ESRD and post-kidney transplantation. This will be achieved through a comprehensive approach integrating single-cell RNA sequencing and immunohistological profiling of these cells.

The identification of altered pathways within skin-resident T cells in the setting of ESRD and organ transplantation could help identify novel therapeutic targets for alleviating skin-related issues in these patients.
