COI investigators led by Professor Alain Townsend reported neutralization breadth of the H7-reactive antibody repertoire induced by natural H7N9 infection in humans and changes overtime, highlighted the need for updated H7N9 vaccines.
On 14th February Minister Counsellor SuNan Jiang, First Secretary Ge Tan and First Secretary Jin Wang from the Chinese Embassy Science and Technology section met with Tao Dong, Darren Nash, Richard Liwicki, Chris Conlon, Andrew McMichael and Alain Townsend of the CAMS Oxford Institute to discuss its development and progress.
The CSC-CAMS/PUMC Oxford High-level Innovative Talent Scholarships and CSC-NDM Scholarships Interviews were held in Beijing in November 2018, representatives from the University of Oxford, the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS) and the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) were present.
On Monday 26th November 2018 the contract for the CAMS Oxford Institute was signed in Beijing in China. Members of the University of Oxford and CAMS were there to witness this.

The Vice Chancellor visited China to meet with LiBing at Ministry of Health. At this meeting they agreed on CAMS and Oxford Joint Institute which will be based in Oxford.
In November 2015, Professor Xuetao Cao, President of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences in Beijing, personally invited Clare Hardman, a graduate student in Professor Graham Ogg\u2019s research group to speak on the 16th November in the prestigious International Young Immunologist Symposium at the 10th annual meeting of the Chinese Society of Immunology (CSI) in 2015.
In September 2015, Professor Tao Dong, Professor Sir Andrew McMichael, Professor Yvonne Jones and Mr Darren Nash from the Nuffield Department of Medicine travelled to Urumqi and Kashgai in China, as part of the One Road, One belt initiative.
Professor Graham Ogg visited Beijing\u2019s Peking University in September 2015, discussing ongoing projects with his regular collaborator, Professor Hua Hong from Beijing University.
