Minister Li Bin's Meeting with Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford

On August 30 of 2016, The Vice Chancellor Professor Louise Richardson visited China to meet with Minister Li Bin at Ministry of Health. At this meeting they agreed on CAMS and Oxford Institute which will be based in Oxford. Both Institutions, commented by Madame Li, needed to expand current scope of collaboration between CAMS and Oxford in terms of medical research. The two were expected to take the leading role in the development of medical sciences.
National Health and Family Planning Commission valued the great opportunities to work with Oxford University. Already both countries had carried out a wealth of practical cooperation projects in many fields, such as medical research, personnel training, data monitoring of floating population. She hoped to deepen exchanges on the basis of traditional cooperation and jointly promote the continuous development of medical and health undertakings between China and Britain. Minister Li also introduced the National Health and Health Conference. Pointing out that under the current trend of health globalization, she believed that both China and UK should work together to ensure the global public health security. They both looked forward to the cooperation between Oxford University and Chinese to expand to a higher level and wider area.

Oxford Delegation attended 60th Anniversary of CAMS

On October 22 of 2016, Oxford delegation participated in the 60th Anniversary of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. In the International Medical Innovation Symposium, Mr. Darren Nash, Associate Head of Department of Nuffield Department of Medical Sciences, gave a talk about the innovative approaches to collaboration in medical sciences at Oxford. He introduced the collaboration history between CAMS and Oxford, especially how CTI has developed and operated.

Oxford Delegation Attended the Centennial Celebration Ceremony of PUMC

On September 21, 2017, Sir. Ivor Crewe, Dean of University College Oxford, Prof. Nuffield Nash, Prof. William Roth, and Professor Tao visited CAMS/PUMC to attend the Centennial Celebration Ceremony of PUMC. Professor Nicholas Rawlins presented at the International Medical Education Symposium to introduce the Oxford’s approach to medical education, and reviewed the historical opportunities of collaboration between PUMC and Oxford to complement each other. The Delegation and President Cao discussed about the implementation of collaboration projects of CAMS Institute in Oxford and Dphil/MD Program during the visit
