Dr. De-Pei Liu graduated with a Ph.D. from CAMS & PUMC in 1986. He completed his Postdoctoral training in University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Liu is currently a professor and director of State Key Laboratory of Medical Molecular Biology, Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, CAMS) & Peking PUMC. He is also serving as a member of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), member of National Academy of Medicine (NAM) of the National Academies, USA and member of Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), Dr. Liu’s research expertise is molecular mechanisms of gene regulation, gene therapy and cardiovascular disease.
